Kyle Beattie; SKE owner and builder took the win away from heavy hitter, Nick Tucker on Halloween night.  Tucker, LaPlant, and Beattie traded the lead several times during the race.  Half way through Beattie passed Tucker, and led the rest of the way.  Following behind Beattie was Nick Tucker, Lori Easley, Ron LaPlant, and Greg Molyneaux.  The evening ran smoothly under the care of Greg Molyneaux.  The heat race winners were Tucker in heat 1 and Ron LaPlant in heat 2.

Nationals and Upcoming Racing Action

Beattie Racing came home from Nationals with a 3rd place in Steve Carter’s ABS Pro Legends Car piloted by Kyle Beattie.  After battling back from a tough wreck in the heat race, Beattie was determined to make the top 5.  Coming in 3rd was the best finish Beattie ever brought home during a Legend Car National event in his career.

Jesse Bunnell also brought home a 3rd place in Steve Carter’s ABS Thunder Car Machine.  Bunnell started 5th in the feature but spun coming out of turn 4 taking the green flag.  He struggled for 50 laps to get back up front and landed in 3rd in the Victory Lane Ceremonies.  Bunnell took home the King of the Ovals Champion in 2007 sponsored by Steve Carter and powered by Beattie Racing.

KBR will be running Friday at Wood Leaf Speedway (dirt) with the SKE drivers; Kyle Beattie, Lori Easley, Ron LaPlant, and Peter Shepherd.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Steve Carter, Bruce Silver, Christian PaHud and Gregory Lang will be participating at the 600 Racing events during the North South Shootout at Concord Motorsport Park.

The moon was full and the track was ready, Causey Racing drivers Rette Causey and Casey Wyatt started 2nd and 3rd on the grid, but the 2 Legends drivers delivered a 1 - 2 punch to the field on Saturday night. After falling back to 6th place Rette Causey raced back to 4th behind the #08 and #17, as the 2 went side by side into turn 1, Rette kept his head when they made contact and spun in front of him. Now with Wyatt and Causey fighting for the top spot, the 2 drivers had a huge lead on the rest of the field. Coming to the checkered flag, Rette tried one last time but could not get passed his teammate Casey Wyatt. Rette picked up two 2nd place finishes over the weekend, as he was at Southside Speedway on Friday and placed one spot behind the leader. Casey Wyatt picked up the victory for Causey Racing.

The #96 ABS Master Legend Car had a great showing on Friday night, racing for second the whole race.  It all came down to the last lap.  With a lapped car in the distance, and Kiser on the bumper of Carter, the out come was not in Carter’s favor.  The collision took Steve out of his second place with one lap to go.  The #96 was taken off the track on the hook.  Steve was determined to come back and be stronger than second place on Saturday.  With some work by KBR the #96 was ready to go for Saturday.  Carter, rested up and still a little sore from the previous night came in strong.  He took the lead early and took the checkered flag for his first win in his Legends Car career.

Fischer Starts KBR Late Model

Ryan Fischer got his first start in the new #77 KBR Late Model in the 32nd Annual Bobby Isaac Memorial at Hickory Motor Speedway.  Ryan started 19th and worked his way up to 13th in the 200 lap race.  The race was clean with very few cautions.  Ryan held his own, steadily and cautiously running the car through the traffic.  Fischer will be running the #84 KBR Semi-Pro Legend Car at Concord Friday and Saturday along with teammates; PaHud (#63 Pro); Bunnell (#96 Pro); Carter (#96 Masters); Silver (#53 Masters); and Shepherd (#11 Bando).

Last Saturday at Concord Motorsports Park, Jesse Bunnell took the ABS Pure Stock to Victory Lane.  Bunnell started in the pole position and led every lap of the 30 lap race.  Spotter, Neal Cantor had an easy night with Jesse, never being challenged for the top spot.  In Victory Lane Bunnell thanked Steve and Kathy Carter, Beattie Racing, family, and friends for all their support.  This Saturday came along and Bunnell found himself at CMP again, only in the #96 ABS Pro Legends Car.  20 laps later Jesse was in Victory Lane again giving his speech.  Bunnell pulled the win from heavy hitters Ross, Hemric, and PaHud.  PaHud finished second, another Beattie Racing Driver running 7th in National Points.  KBR is excited for Jesse and can't wait for another Victory Lane!
